Privacy policy

Ajolo is a language-learning app developed by Prisma Software (softwareprisma.com). This policy explains what data we use and why.

Prisma Account

Your account (email and password) is a Prisma Account: the same one works in other Prisma Software apps. Each app keeps its own data; your Ajolo progress is not shared with other apps. If you delete your account in Ajolo, your Ajolo data is erased, and your sign-in is removed only if you don't use other Prisma apps.

What data we use

Account: your email and password (the password is stored encrypted and we never see it).
Profile: the name, username and avatar you choose; other people see them in leagues and friends.
Progress: lessons, XP, streak, mistakes for your reviews, and app settings.
Social: who you follow, your challenges and the clubs you join; the people involved can see them.
Notifications: if you allow them, we store the device identifier Apple provides so we can send you alerts (reminders, challenges, leagues). You can turn them off in iPhone Settings.
Camera: the camera translator reads text on your phone using Apple features; we don't store or send the images.
Voice: the microphone only turns on when you tap the speak button; speech recognition is done by your phone's system (Apple).
Purchases: the subscription is paid through Apple; we only receive the purchase confirmation, never your payment details.

Artificial intelligence (third-party provider)

AI conversations, the writing corrector, AI lessons and mistake explanations use a third-party artificial intelligence service. Before the first use the app asks for your permission, and you can withdraw it in Profile › Settings; without permission, those features send nothing.

What is sent: only the text you type or dictate in those features (your messages, the text to correct, your job description or your answer to the exercise), the practice scenario, the language and your level. Your email, name, password, contacts and location are not sent.
To whom: Groq, Inc. (United States), through our server; Groq receives the text without data that identifies you.
Why: only to generate the reply, correction or lesson. We don't use it for advertising or profiling. Groq processes this data as a service provider under its own terms and privacy policy (groq.com/privacy-policy), with protection equal to this policy.

Why

To provide the service: save your progress, show leagues and friends, issue verifiable certificates and activate Ajolo Plus. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Reports and blocking

You can report or block another person or a club. We keep the report (who reported, whom and why) to review it; if several people report a name, we hide it while we review it. Names with profanity are not shown.

Certificates

If you create a certificate, your name, level and date can be looked up publicly with its code, so whoever receives it can confirm it's real.

Your rights

You can edit your profile at any time and delete your account from the app (Profile › Settings › Delete my account); your progress, league, friends and certificates are erased. For any question about your data, contact us at softwareprisma.com.
